The cookbook
for AI agents.

Ask for dinner. Every recipe cooked and rated by people.

ask.recipes is an MCP server. Connect it to Claude or ChatGPT, ask for dinner, and your agent answers from crawled recipes with ratings and a link back to the author — instead of improvising one.

Agents invent recipes.
That's a recipe for disaster.

Ask a model for dinner and it will confidently blend three recipes it half-remembers into one nobody ever cooked. ask.recipes gives your agent ground truth instead: recipes crawled from the structured data recipe sites publish themselves, kept only when people rated them well, served with nutrition and a link back to the author. Your agent still does what it's good at: swapping ingredients, scaling servings, planning the week. It just doesn't have to invent the recipe.

9 ingredient lines. The ones above, exactly 8 steps. 0 ads. Nutrition included. Author credited.

Same recipe, both times. We keep the facts: ingredients, steps, times, ratings. The prose and the ads stay where they live.

substitutions?

Your agent's job. And it's good at it, once it has a recipe to stand on. We supply the ground truth.

Ask at the counter

The conversation is an example; the tickets aren't — they're crawled recipes exactly as served, ratings and nutrition included.

Connect your agent

  1. Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → https://mcp.ask.recipes/mcp
  2. ChatGPT: Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode → Add the same URL.
  3. Sign in when your agent asks. It's free; the account just keeps the counter orderly and your saved recipes yours.
  4. Ask. "Find me a weeknight curry people actually rate well." Done.

Searching and reading recipes is free. No ads, ever. An ad-free recipe service that shows you ads would be a strange thing to build.
