AskRecipesBot indexes recipes for ask.recipes, a service that serves real recipes to AI agents — always with source attribution and a link back to the original page.
- It reads only the structured recipe data (schema.org JSON-LD) your site already publishes for search engines. It never republishes your articles, photos, or prose.
- It respects robots.txt, fetches one page at a time with long delays, and uses conditional requests so revisits cost you almost nothing.
- It backs off immediately on 403 or 429 responses and does not retry around blocks.
- Every indexed recipe credits your site by name and links to the original — agents send readers to you.
